Punched flat carrier tape with heat activated cover tape used for making leader and trailers. The leader and trailer tape are the starting and ending portions of the reel that don’t contain any components. Made with polystyrene black conductive material with antistatic, heat seal cover tape. Comes in various widths from 8mm – 56mm. Larger widths can be made. It can be furnished in 18” strips or on a 13” reel with 95m for easy cutting to a preferred length. This operation requires the tapes to be spliced together with standard embossed carrier tape in such a way that the sprocket hole spacing remains within the requirements of EIA-481.
